About Robyn P Murray

Robyn was born in Co. Antrim Northern Ireland, and grew up with a love of reading and telling stories. After travelling and working around the world Robyn lives in New Zealand and has a Kiwi son and two grandsons.

She has told and written children’s stories and short stories for many years.

In 2012 Robyn successfully published her children’s story,”Roger the Rooster of Ambury Park Farm” .  Soon after her second book, “The Spirit of Cameron” was published. In 2014 she published two Anthologies, TALES TO READ IN A HAMMOCK and MORE TALES TO READ IN A HAMMOCK. They are available on Kindle, eBook, and print.  Also one of her stories is featured in a book by Phantom Feather Press, THE BEST OF TWISTY CHRISTMAS TALES. She was a member of the Mangere Bridge Writer’s Group and helped collate, and organise the publication of a collection of short stories, poems and more VIEWS FROM THE BRIDGE was launched in time for the Christmas market November 2014. After many requests, Roger the Rooster of Ambury Park Farm has been translated into Spanish.

Robyn enjoys exchanging ideas with fellow Writers , reading stories to children, spending time with her grandsons and family, reading and watching a story develop as she writes. Three more children’s illustrated books have been published and the book launch was in August 2015. Jack’s Mountains have been reprinted three times and have proved very popular as like the Ambury Farm Stories have local content.

Robyn is now available for speaking events talking about her journey to self publishing, what inspires the stories she writes and the rewards of seeing her books in print.
